The primary focus of Cough Syrup is for publishing PRINT MAGAZINES and BOOKS containing visual art, literature, poetry, articles, and essays. We are currently working on putting all published work on the site.
The theme of Cough Syrup is Psychedelic, Gonzo, Absurd, Experimental, Beautiful, Blissful, and Weird.
If you would like to submit a manuscript for a book, chapbook, manual, or any ideas you have for a complete work send us a query containing your bio and the idea of your work.
We accept simultaneous submissions year round. Please expect 2-6 months for us to respond to any submissions or queries. A print issue of Cough Syrup comes out every season.
We are in the second year of our being! The pay upon publication is a contributor’s copy along with whatever fun things we have printed along that time! Cough Syrup is geared towards print media and publishing. Soon we will have all published works available for reading on the site.
